Regular Season Round 1: LG Sakers - Seoul Thunders 62-65

There was an upset in Changwon where LG Sakers were edged by Seoul Thunders 65-62 on Sunday. American forward Emanuel Terry (206-1996, college: LMU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import forward Marcus Derrickson (201-1996, college: Georgetown) chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and forward Seung-Woo Lee (192-2001) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Seoul Thunders will meet at home Anyang in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. LG Sakers will play against Goyang in Daegu and hope to secure a win.
