Regular Season Round 4: Shinagawa - Shanan Utd 68-84

Bottom-ranked Shinagawa (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 84-68 loss to fifteenth ranked Shanan Utd (2-4) in Shinagawa on Friday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Shinagawa's 34. Shanan Utd looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chris Olivier (202-1992, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import center Daniel Giddens (213-1997, college: Vermont) who added 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Shanan Utd players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shanan Utd moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Shinagawa still closes the standings with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
