Regular Season Round 6: Al Fateh - Al Ansar 93-86

Very expected game in Al Hasa where 11th ranked Al Ansar (1-5) was defeated by third ranked Al Fateh (5-1) 93-86 on Monday. Al Fateh looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Algerian forward Mohamed Harat (198-1990) had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Mohammed Alsaqer chipped in 26 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Al Fateh's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Guyanese-American center Anthony Moe (206-1990, college: Millersville) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds and American forward Gerard Tarin (206-1996, college: Nova SE) scored 32 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Fateh have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Nasr. Al Ansar lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Al Salam and Al-Taawon. Al Fateh will meet Al Ittihad (#5) in the next round. Al Ansar's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Medina to the arena Ohod.
