Regular Season Round 3: Iwate - Shinagawa 85-57
Date: October 8, 2022
Very predictable result when Iwate (3-1) smashed at home Shinagawa (0-4) 85-57 on Saturday. Iwate dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Shinagawa's 26. Iwate forced 26 Shinagawa turnovers and outrebounded them 37-25 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-1996, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American power forward Gerald Beverly (202-1993, college: Daemen) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) who recorded 12 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) added 12 points and 4 steals respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate will meet Tachikawa (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Shinagawa will play against Shanan Utd and hopes to get finally their first victory.
