Regular Season Round 3: Tokyo HT - Kagoshima 60-87
Date: October 8, 2022
Not a big story in a game when Tokyo HT (1-3) was rolled over at home by Kagoshima (4-0) 87-60 on Saturday. Kagoshima looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-1993, college: LCU) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Elijah Burns (203-1996, college: Siena, agency: One Motive Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward John Fields (205-1988, college: Tennessee, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and power forward Justin Baker (203-1989, college: Utah Valley) added 9 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kagoshima will meet at home Tokyo Utd (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tokyo HT will play against Toyoda in Aichi and hope to win that game.
