Everything could happen in Al Hasa at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Al Fateh and 5th ranked Al Hilal had identical 3-1 record. This time Al Fateh used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Riyadh 102-85 on Friday night. Al Fateh shot 27 for 38 from the free-throw line, while Al Hilal only scored six points from the stripe. Algerian forward Mohamed Harat (198-1990) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Mohammed Alsaqer chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. Four Al Fateh players scored in double figures. American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Mark Lyons (185-1989, college: Arizona) scored 24 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Al Fateh (4-1) moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Nasr and Ohod. Defending champion Al Hilal keeps the fifth position with two games lost. Al Fateh will meet at home Al Ansar (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Hilal will play against Al Ittihad (#7) in Jeddah and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
