Regular Season Round 1: Dynamo - Byblos 114-55

Dynamo used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Byblos 114-55 on Sunday night. Dynamo dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Byblos' 32. Dynamo forced 31 Byblos turnovers and outrebounded them 47-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international swingman Ahmad Ibrahim (198-1992, college: Rice) stepped up and scored 37 points (!!!) and 4 assists for the winners and American guard Zach Lofton (193-1992, college: NM State, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 16 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Four Dynamo players scored in double figures. Dynamo's coach Jad El Hajj felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side naturalized Mexican swingman Dimitri Nader (193-2003) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Mohamed Skaf scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Dynamo will meet Atlas in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Byblos will play against NSA and hope to win that game.
