Regular Season Round 1: Aomori W. - Chiba 83-85

But Aomori W. was not able to use a home court advantage and was edged by the opponent from Chiba 85-83 on Saturday night. Chiba looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Leo Lyons (206-1987, college: Missouri) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and point guard Kota Fujimoto (175-1998) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists. Four Chiba players scored in double figures. American center Max Hisatake (203-1998, college: IlIinois Tech) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Alex Davis (206-1992, college: Fresno St.) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Aomori W. in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Chiba will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aomori W. will play again against Chiba and hope to win that game.
