Regular Season Round 3: Ohod - Al Wehda 81-80

A very close game took place in Medina between Ohod and Al Wehda. Ohod (2-1) got a very close home victory over Al Wehda (1-2). Ohod managed to escape with a 1-point win 81-80 on Monday evening. Strangely Al Wehda outrebounded Ohod 43-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Tyrik Armstrong (178, college: Texas Southern, agency: MSG) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward Jordan Washington (203-1993, college: Iona, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Four Ohod players scored in double figures. American guard Brian Halums (196-1997, college: UAFS) came up with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Mohammed AlMarwani (206-1989) added 8 points and 17 rebounds respectively for Al Wehda in the defeat. Ohod will meet Al-Taawon (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Wehda will play against Al Adalh (#12) and hope to win that game.
