Regular Season Round 8: Tagawa - Adroit 60-81

NBL top team - Adroit (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Tagawa (0-8) in Singapore 81-60. Adroit dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Tagawa's 26. Adroit forced 20 Tagawa turnovers and outrebounded them 62-28 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Han Wong-Zhong who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Center Herman Chan (190-1997) chipped in 9 points and 14 rebounds. Denilson Soh produced 21 points and 5 steals and Manaf Ridzuan added 3 points, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Adroit have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Loser Tagawa still closes the standings with eight games lost. Adroit will meet Nanyang (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Tagawa will play against Nanyang and hopes to get finally their first victory.
