Regular Season Round 9: Heat - Warriors 79-69

Rather predictable result in Saigon where first ranked Heat (8-2) defeated 5th ranked Warriors (4-7) 79-69 on Tuesday. Heat forced 19 Warriors turnovers and outrebounded them 50-36 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was forward Alonzo Stafford (198-1993, college: CCC) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Guard Madarious Gibbs (185-1993, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Garrius Holloman (198-1989, college: BCU) who recorded 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Clay Guillozet (193-1997, college: Valdosta St.) added 21 points and 4 steals respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Heat maintains first place with 8-2 record. Loser Warriors keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Heat will meet bottom-ranked Catfish (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Warriors' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Hanoi to the arena Buffaloes.
