Regular Season Round 7: Warriors - Dragons 65-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Dragons' (4-6) road victory over 6th ranked Warriors (2-6) 72-65 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for American point guard Ed Horton (186-1985, college: Murray St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points and 9 rebounds. Filipino point guard Michael Soy (182-1997, college: Algonquin) helped adding 16 points and 7 rebounds. Worth to mention Horton played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. At the losing side American Garrius Holloman (198-1989, college: BCU) responded with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Clay Guillozet (193-1997, college: Valdosta St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Warriors' coach Predrag Lukic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dragons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 4-6 record. Warriors lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Dragons will meet higher ranked Buffaloes (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Warriors will play against Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
