Second Stage Round 4: Dunkin' Raptors - Hitech 75-108

Leader Hitech delivered the twelfth victory. This time they crushed 5th ranked Dunkin' Raptors (6-7) 108-75. Hitech dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Dunkin' Raptors' 38. They outrebounded Dunkin' Raptors 52-28 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Hitech players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Joshua Keyes (201-1995, college: Muskingum, agency: PBAplayers Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds. The former international Wattana Suttisin (183-1985) contributed with 22 points for the winners. Keyes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Hitech players scored in double figures. Hitech's coach Manid Niyomyindee felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) replied with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international Toby Sathitsumpan (182-2001) added 28 points in the effort for Dunkin' Raptors. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-1 record. Dunkin' Raptors at the other side keep the fifth place with seven games lost. Hitech's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bangkok to the arena Bangkok Tigers.
