Regular Season Round 5: Dragons - City Wings 73-79

VBA top team - Wings (5-1) added another victory to their record on Wednesday. This time they beat seventh ranked Dragons (0-6) in Danang 79-73. Wings forced 24 Dragons turnovers. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. The best player for the winners was forward DeSean Parsons (201-1995, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Devon Thomas (183-1994, college: Texas Tech) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Ed Horton (186-1985, college: Murray St.) produced 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and center Kenneth Simms (206-1986, college: Cumberland, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points and 19 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wings have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-1 record. Loser Dragons still closes the standings with six games lost. Wings will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dragons will play against Catfish (#6) in Can Tho and hope to get finally their first victory.
