Worth to mention about the upset in a game between NLEX RW (4-5) and Rain or Shine (2-6), which took place in Makati City. Higher ranked NLEX RW lost at home to eleventh ranked Rain or Shine 86-96 on Saturday. Strangely NLEX RW outrebounded Rain or Shine 53-41 including 16 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by center Leonard Santillan (195-1996) who scored that evening 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Gian Mamuyac (180-1999) supported him with 15 points. Even a double-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists by point guard Kevin Alas (183-1991) did not help to save the game for NLEX RW. Guard Celedonio Trollano (191-1992) added 20 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rain or Shine moved-up to ninth place, which they share with North Port and Phoenix. NLEX RW lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with FiberXers. Rain or Shine will meet higher ranked Blackwater Elite (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. NLEX RW will have a break next round.
