Regular Season Round 2: Dragons - Buffaloes 67-73

Very significant was Buffaloes' 73-67 road victory against Dragons. Strangely Dragons outrebounded Buffaloes 47-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Point guard Jeffery Stubbs (189-1991, college: Jackson St.) notched 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and forward Shane Henry (203-1993, college: Virginia Tech) supported him with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Henry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Buffaloes' coach Eric Weissling allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 26 points and 20 rebounds by center Kenneth Simms (206-1986, college: Cumberland, agency: Interperformances) did not help to save the game for Dragons. Point guard Ed Horton (186-1985, college: Murray St.) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the hosts. Buffaloes will play against Catfish in Can Tho in the next round. Dragons will play at home against Heat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
