Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Saitama (25-17) won against on the road 12th ranked Yamaguchi (12-40) 100-88. They outrebounded Yamaguchi 49-28 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Saitama players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-1991, college: Boise St., agency: Slash Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 24 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and his fellow American import center Will Creekmore (205-1989, college: Missouri St.) chipped in 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Saitama's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Atomu Yamada (179-1998) scored 22 points and 4 assists. Saitama maintains eighth place with 25-17 record. Newly promoted Yamaguchi keeps the twelfth position with 40 games lost.
