Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Gunma CT (22-28) outscored at home 11th ranked Niigata A. (5-43) 94-62 on Saturday. Gunma CT had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Niigata A.'s players. It was a great evening for Czech center Ondrej Balvin (217-1992, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Aki Chambers (190-1990, college: UC Merced) helped adding 16 points and 6 assists. Five Gunma CT players scored in double figures. Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-1993, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-1989, college: NM State) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Gunma CT. Newly promoted Gunma CT maintains seventh place with 22-28 record. Niigata A. lost their fourteenth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 43 games lost. Gunma CT will again meet at home Niigata A. (#11) in the next round. Niigata A. will have a break next round.
