The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Lioneers as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lioneers defeated their close opponent Kings in Hsinchu 110-92. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Lioneers dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 40. Lioneers had a 42-31 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-1992, college: NM State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists. American Nick Faust (198-1993, college: LBSU) contributed with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Lioneers players scored in double figures. American forward Deandre Liggins (198-1988, college: Kentucky) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Chin-Min Yang (190-1984) added 28 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kings. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lioneers (16-9) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Kings lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the second place with ten games lost. They share the position with Fubon Braves. Kings will play next round against Steelers trying to get back on the winning streak. Lioneers will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Pilots in Taoyuan.
