An exciting game was when First ranked Bank of Taiwan faced their biggest opponent Taiwan Beer. Bank of Taiwan (23-8) defeated Taiwan Beer (20-11) 71-66. Bank of Taiwan made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Taiwan Beer outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 56-38 including a 25-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Zak Irvin (198-1994, college: Michigan) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Bank of Taiwan's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 28 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Wangzi Gang (183-1993) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Taiwan Beer. Bank of Taiwan maintains first place with 23-8 record. Taiwan Beer lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with 11 games lost. Bank of Taiwan will play against bottom-ranked Pauian (#5) in the next round. Taiwan Beer will play against Jeoutai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
