Regular Season Round 24: Anibal - Homentmen 101-67

There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Anibal (2-18) crushed 9th ranked Homentmen (4-16) in Zahle 101-67 on Thursday. Anibal forced 19 Homentmen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by Bechara Saba who had that evening a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and Christopher Maalouf supported him with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Anibal's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 12 points, 23 rebounds and 5 assists by power forward Elios Saad (202-2001) did not help to save the game for Homentmen. Serouj Avedissian added 20 points. Five Anibal and four Homentmen players scored in double figures. Anibal maintains eleventh position with 2-18 record. Homentmen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Atlas.
