There was no surprise when 6th ranked GhostHawks (5-21) were crushed by second ranked Suns (17-9) 126-101 on Sunday. Suns dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to GhostHawks' 44 and made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Suns looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was a great evening for Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Filipino-Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-1996, college: CBU) helped adding 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Chi-Erh Lu (176-1992) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Marcus Gilbert (198-1993, college: Fairfield) scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Suns and five GhostHawks players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suns maintains second place with 17-9 record having five points less than leader Kaohsiung A. Loser GhostHawks stay dead last with 21 lost games. Suns will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. GhostHawks will play against N.Taipei CTBC (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
