Seventh defeat of league's leader Taiwan Beer (19-7) against first ranked Bank of Taiwan (20-6) 93-68 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Bank of Taiwan forced 21 Taiwan Beer turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Taiwan Beer's players. American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Zak Irvin (198-1994, college: Michigan) contributed with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds and Canadian power forward Keanau Post (210-1992, college: Missouri) added 7 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Taiwan Beer. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bank of Taiwan maintains first place with 20-6 record. Taiwan Beer at the other side dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Bank of Taiwan. Taiwan Beer will play next round against strong Jeoutai trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Bank of Taiwan will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Pauian at home.
