Semi-Finals Game 4: Hotshots - Meralco Bolts 94-73

Hotshots topped Meralco Bolts to even the series at 2-2. Hotshots dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Meralco Bolts' 34. They outrebounded Meralco Bolts 51-38 including 38 on the defensive glass. Hotshots players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Meralco Bolts were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American Mike Harris (198-1983, college: Rice) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds and naturalized American forward Calvin Abueva (190-1988) supported him with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Four Hotshots players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds by Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-1989, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) did not help to save the game for Meralco Bolts. Guard Chris Newsome (187-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) added 11 points and 5 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
