Regular Season Round 43: Anyang KGC - KoGas 80-65

There was no surprise when 6th ranked KoGas (25-26) were defeated on the road by third ranked Anyang KGC (30-19) 80-65 on Tuesday. Anyang KGC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) helped adding 6 points and 7 assists. At the losing side Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Dae-Heon Lee (198-1992) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains third place with 30-19 record having nine points less than leader SK Knights. Loser KoGas keep the sixth position with 26 games lost. Anyang KGC will again meet KoGas (#6) in the next round. KoGas will have a break next round.
