Regular Season Round 52: FE Nagoya - Tokyo Z 100-66

Date: March 27, 2022
Leader FE Nagoya delivered the 36th victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Tokyo Z (8-37) 100-66. FE Nagoya dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 40. They outrebounded Tokyo Z 49-23 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. FE Nagoya looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Brian Qvale (208-1988, college: Montana) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) and the other American import forward Jeremy Jones (201-1996, college: Gonzaga) who added 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four FE Nagoya players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Pat Andree (203-1997, college: NC State) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Tsubasa Kurihara (180-1997) scored 14 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FE Nagoya maintains first position with 36-6 record. Loser Tokyo Z keeps the sixth place with 37 games lost. FE Nagoya will meet Saga B. (#4) on the road in the next round. Tokyo Z will play against Fukushima and hope to secure a win.
