Regular Season Round 41: LG Sakers - Mobis Phoebus 72-65

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Mobis Phoebus (29-22) against eighth ranked LG Sakers (21-27) on Wednesday night. Visiting Mobis Phoebus were defeated by LG Sakers in a tough game in Changwon 65-72. Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-1989, college: Louisville) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. Myeong-jin Seo responded with 19 points and 4 assists and the former international center Jae-Sok Jang (205-1983) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LG Sakers moved-up to seventh place. Mobis Phoebus lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with 22 games lost. LG Sakers will play against league's second-placed KT Sonicboom in Busan in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Mobis Phoebus will play at home against Goyang Orions and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
