An exciting game was played in Amman. First ranked Al Wihdat faced 4th placed Al Jubaiha. Host Al Wihdat (12-3) smashed guests from Al Jubaiha (4-11) 122-69. Al Wihdat dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Al Jubaiha's 40. They outrebounded Al Jubaiha 44-29 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Wihdat players were unselfish on offense dishing 44 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Al Jubaiha's players. American point guard Anthony Miles (184-1989, college: Lamar) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. International center Mohammad Hussein (210-1990) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Al Wihdat players scored in double figures. American power forward Gregoryshon Magee (211-1990, college: USA) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Khaled Abuaboud (202-1997) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Al Jubaiha. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Al Wihdat maintains first place with 12-3 record. Al Jubaiha at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Al Wihdat's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Amman to the arena Orthodox.
