No shocking result in a game when third ranked Tochigi Brex (28-12) defeated at home 9th ranked Hokkaido L. (13-24) 74-66 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Tongan-New Zealand Isaac Fotu (203-1993, college: Hawaii) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and the former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-1990) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. American DeMon Brooks (202-1992, college: Davidson) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Shawn Long (208-1993, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tochigi Brex maintains third position with 28-12 record having just two points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Hokkaido L. at the other side keeps the ninth place with 24 games lost. Tochigi Brex will meet Akita NH (#5) on the road in the next round. Hokkaido L. will play against Ibaraki R. (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
