Very expected game when 10th ranked Gifu (15-25) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Shizuoka (25-9) 90-75 on Saturday. Shizuoka dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Gifu's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shizuoka made 7 blocks. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-1996, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Argentinian forward Alexis Elsener (195-1988, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Elsener is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
