Ginebra Kings held off TNT Ka Tropa to secure the next round berth. Ginebra Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to TNT Ka Tropa's 38. They outrebounded TNT Ka Tropa 51-31 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ginebra Kings players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. American forward Justin Brownlee (197-1988, college: St.John's) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and guard Scottie Thompson (188-1993) supported him with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Brownlee is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 17 points and 6 assists by naturalized American guard Michael Williams (188-1991, college: CS Fullerton) did not help to save the game for TNT Ka Tropa. American forward Leon Gilmore III (201-1995, college: SF Austin) added 14 points and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
