Al Wakrah claimed the third position as they nipped Al Ahli in the consolation final. Al Wakrah made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game, while Al Ahli only scored four points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was American Julius Coles Jr (193-1989, college: Canisius) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import swingman Brandon Spearman (191-1991, college: Hawaii) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Spearman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al Wakrah players scored in double figures. American forward Antwaine Wiggins (203-1988, college: Charleston, agency: BIG) produced 37 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and American-Bulgarian guard Earl Calloway (191-1983, college: Indiana, agency: Network Sports International) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for the hosts.
