Regular Season Round 40: LG Sakers - Samsung Th. 79-70

There was no surprise in Changwon where 10th ranked Samsung Th. (9-38) was defeated by eighth ranked LG Sakers (20-27) 79-70 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and forward Kwang-jin Lee (194-1997) who added 16 points and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side American center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds and the former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-1989) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. LG Sakers maintains eighth position with 20-27 record. Samsung Th. lost seventh consecutive game. They stay dead last with 38 lost games. LG Sakers will meet at home higher ranked Mobis Phoebus (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Samsung Th. will play against KoGas (#5) and hope to secure a win.
