An exciting game was when Second ranked Taiyuan Textile faced 3rd ranked Taipower. Taiyuan Textile (7-2) defeated Taipower (1-8) 72-57. They outrebounded Taipower 48-28 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. International center Tieh Lin (182-1999) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-1998) chipped in 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Xin-Yu Lai (175-1988) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Xi-Ye Liu (173-1991) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiyuan Textile maintains second position with 7-2 record behind leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with eight games lost. Taiyuan Textile are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against Chunghwa Telecom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
