Regular Season Round 39: KT Sonicboom - Samsung Th. 99-80

Very expected game in Busan where 10th ranked Samsung Th. (9-36) was crushed by third ranked KT Sonicboom (28-15) 99-80 on Tuesday. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Hoon Heo (181-1995) who scored 23 points and 8 assists. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC) who recorded 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Dong-Yeop Lee (194-1994) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Four Samsung Th. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KT Sonicboom maintains third place with 28-15 record having twelve points less than leader SK Knights. Samsung Th. lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 36 lost games. KT Sonicboom will again meet at home bottom-ranked Samsung Th. (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Samsung Th. will play against LG Sakers in Changwon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
