Regular Season Round 9: Taiyuan T. - Chunghua T. 63-55

Very significant was Taiyuan Textile's (#2, 7-2) victory against 4th placed Chunghwa Telecom (1-8) 63-55. They outrebounded Chunghwa Telecom 46-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. International center Tieh Lin (182-1999) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 20 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-1998) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds. Swingman Yushu Lin (168-1996) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and guard You-Yiwen Wang (175-1996) added 10 points respectively for Chunghwa Telecom in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiyuan Textile maintains second place with 7-2 record behind leader Cathay Life. Chunghwa Telecom at the other side stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Taiyuan Textile will play against Taipower (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Chunghwa Telecom will play against the league's leader Cathay Life to get more than just one victory in their record.
