There was no surprise in Jakarta where 7th ranked Bima Perkasa (3-10) was outplayed by first ranked Satria Muda (8-3) 89-50 on Sunday. Satria Muda dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bima Perkasa's 20. They outrebounded Bima Perkasa 48-28 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Satria Muda looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Bima Perkasa's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Brachon Griffin (185-1992, college: ECSU) who scored 23 points. His fellow American import forward Elijah Foster (203-1996, college: Nevada) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Foster is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Satria Muda players scored in double figures. The former international Indra Muhammad (189-1994) produced 11 points and American David Atkinson (200-1991, college: Salem) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-3 record. Bima Perkasa lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Satria Muda will meet Satya Wacana (#5) in the next round. Bima Perkasa will play against Indonesia P. in Jakarta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
