Regular Season Round 47: Aomori W. - Kumamoto V. 71-97
Date: March 13, 2022
The game in Aomori supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Kumamoto V. (26-15) played at the court of 7th ranked Aomori W. (2-38). Kumamoto V. smashed Aomori W. 97-71. Kumamoto V. players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Aomori W.'s players. It was a great evening for American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-1990, college: Texas) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). His fellow American import swingman LJ Peak (196-1996, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 29 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-1990, college: S.Carolina) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumamoto V. have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 26-15 record having four points less than leader Nishinomiya S., which they share with Kagawa FA. Aomori W. lost twenty second consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 38 games lost. Kumamoto V. will play against Bambitious N. (#7) in Nara in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Aomori W. will play on the road against the league's second-placed Fukushima and hopes to get back on the winning track.
