An exciting game was when Second ranked Taiyuan Textile faced 3rd placed Taipower. Taiyuan Textile (6-1) defeated Taipower (2-5) 76-59. Taiyuan Textile dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Taipower's 36. They outrebounded Taipower 49-31 including a 37-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Taiyuan Textile players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Tieh Lin (182-1999) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. The former international forward Ching Cho (172-1997) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international point guard Chia-Wen Kuo (169-1993) answered with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Meng-Xin Chen (163-1999) added 4 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Taipower. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Taiyuan Textile have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Cathay Life. Taipower at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Taiyuan Textile will play against league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against Chunghwa Telecom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
