The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Flying Leopards as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Flying Leopards smashed 18th ranked Jiangsu Dragons in Yingkou 101-75. Flying Leopards made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers. Flying Leopards brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Jiangsu Dragons were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Ailun Guo (189-1993) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Kyle Fogg (191-1990, college: Arizona) contributed with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. Swingman Rongqi Huang (189-1999) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and center Haoran Jiang (205-2000) added 17 points in the effort for Jiangsu Dragons. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Jiangsu Dragons lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the eighteenth place with 29 games lost. Jiangsu Dragons will play next round against Jilin Tigers trying to get back on the winning streak. Flying Leopards will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Golden Bulls at Hangzhou.
