Regular Season Round 8: Satria Muda - WBS 69-61

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Jakarta: Satria Muda (#1) and WBS (#4). Satria Muda (7-2) won against visiting WBS (4-6) 69-61. The best player for the winners was American guard Brachon Griffin (185-1992, college: ECSU) who scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Juan Kokodiputra (194-1995) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard DMonta Harris (196-1997, college: Midwestern St.) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and international point guard Widyanta-Putra Teja (180-1997) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains first position with 7-2 record. WBS lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third place with six games lost. Satria Muda will meet league's second-placed Dewa United in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. WBS will play against Bali Utd. in Denpasar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
