There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Ibaraki R. (8-28) smashed on the road their close opponent Kyoto H. (8-28) 96-70 on Sunday. Ibaraki R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kyoto H.'s players. Point guard Kohei Fukuzawa (177-1993) fired 27 points for the winners. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-1990, college: Portland St.) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-1987, college: Ohio, agency: SDJ Sports) produced 10 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-1991) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Ibaraki R. maintains tenth position with 8-28 record, which they share with defeated Kyoto H. Ibaraki R. will meet at home higher ranked Sea Horses M.
