Regular Season Round 6: Taiwan Beer - Yulon Luxgen 92-62

Very significant was Taiwan Beer's (#1, 13-1) victory against 4th ranked Yulon Luxgen (5-8) 92-62. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Yulon Luxgen. Taiwan Beer dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Yulon Luxgen's 36. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) notched 40 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Tian-You Yang (170-1993) supported him with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds by American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) did not help to save the game for Yulon Luxgen. Guard Guan-Liang Lu (185-1990) added 18 points and 4 assists. Taiwan Beer (13-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Yulon Luxgen at the other side dropped to the third place with eight games lost. Taiwan Beer will again play against Yulon Luxgen (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Yulon Luxgen will play against the league's second-placed Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
