There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Kyoto H. (8-28) won against at home their close opponent Ibaraki R. (8-28) 86-81 on Saturday. Kyoto H. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Justin Harper (208-1989, college: Richmond) who scored 17 points and 6 assists. Point guard Tatsuya Suzuki (169-1991) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists. Five Kyoto H. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-1990, college: Portland St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import Eric Jacobsen (208-1994, college: Arizona St.) added 15 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Ibaraki R.'s coach Richard Glesmann rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kyoto H. maintains tenth place with 8-28 record, which they share with defeated Ibaraki R.
