There was a surprise result in Daegu where tenth ranked Samsung Th. (9-31) beat higher ranked Goyang Orions (20-22) 83-77 on Wednesday. Samsung Th. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-1989) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American center Isaiah Hicks (206-1994, college: UNC) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Samsung Th.'s coach Sang-Min Lee used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was international center Seung-Hyun Lee (201-1992) with 20 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) scored 16 points and 6 assists. Five Samsung Th. and four Goyang Orions players scored in double figures. Samsung Th. maintains tenth position with 9-31 record. Loser Goyang Orions keep the fifth place with 22 games lost. Samsung Th. will meet at home higher ranked KCC Egis (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Goyang Orions will play against LG Sakers (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
