Regular Season Round 39: San-en NP - Shiga L-Stars 93-80

There was a small surprise in Hamamatsu where eleventh ranked San-en NP (5-30) defeated 9th ranked Shiga L-Stars (10-21) 93-80 on Sunday. San-en NP made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was German center Elias Harris (203-1989, college: Gonzaga, agency: BeoBasket) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Robert Carter (206-1994, college: Maryland) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four San-en NP players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Kiefer Isaac Ravena (181-1993) who recorded 28 points and 8 assists and American power forward Sean OMara (208-1995, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) added 19 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. San-en NP maintains eleventh place with 5-30 record. Shiga L-Stars lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 21 games lost. San-en NP will meet at home league's second-placed Alvark Tokyo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shiga L-Stars will play against the league's leader Ryukyu GK (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
