No shocking result in a game in Manila where third ranked Meralco Bolts (5-2) defeated 10th ranked Terrafirma Dyip (2-6) 107-95. Meralco Bolts players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Terrafirma Dyip was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-1989, college: Texas St., agency: 011 Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Allein Maliksi (191) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Antonio Hester (199-1990, college: Mobile, AL) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds and naturalized American guard Joshua Munzon (191-1995, college: CS Los Angeles) added 17 points in the effort for Terrafirma Dyip. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Meralco Bolts went down to fourth position due to points difference. Terrafirma Dyip at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with six games lost. Meralco Bolts will play against higher ranked Alaska Aces (#3) in Makati in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Terrafirma Dyip will have a break next round.
