The game in Jambyl supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Qazaqstan (15-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Jambyl (4-14). Qazaqstan smashed Jambyl 104-59 on Tuesday. Qazaqstan dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Jambyl's 24. Qazaqstan forced 21 Jambyl turnovers and outrebounded them 46-32 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Jambyl's players. Point guard Aziz Yalkunov (189-1997) nailed 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and forward Adil Narimanov (196-2001) accounted for 12 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Five Qazaqstan players scored in double figures. Qazaqstan's coach Aidana Iskakova felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Andrey Portnyagin (181-1994) came up with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and guard Berik Zulharnai (183-1994) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Jambyl in the defeat. Newly promoted Qazaqstan maintains second place with 15-2 record behind leader Kazygurt, which they share with Bars. Jambyl lost their eighth game in a row. Jambyl at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Qazaqstan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Jambyl will play against Bars (#3) in Petropavlovsk and hope to secure a win.
