Regular Season Round 39: Aomori W. - Kagawa FA 62-78

B2 League top team - Kagawa FA (24-10) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat seventh ranked Aomori W. (2-33) 78-62. Kagawa FA players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Aomori W.'s players. It was a great evening for American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-1987, college: Georgia) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 4 assists. Australian center Angus Brandt (208-1989, college: Oregon St.) helped adding 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Kagawa FA's coach Yuichi Ishikawa used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American swingman Lakeem Jackson (195-1990, college: S.Carolina) with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-1990, college: NM State) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Kagawa FA. They maintain first place with 24-10 record. Aomori W. lost their seventeenth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 33 games lost. Kagawa FA will play against league's leader FE Nagoya on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aomori W. will play against Saga B. (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
