Very significant was Aquas' (#1, 11-3) victory against 4th placed Suns (7-6) 87-71. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Suns. Aquas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-91, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. American Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-88) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 22 rebounds and Filipino-Australian guard Jordan Heading (188-96, college: CBU) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aquas maintains first place with 11-3 record. Suns at the other side keep the fourth position with six games lost. Aquas are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Leopards (#6) in Taoyuan in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Suns will play at home against TB Herobears and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
